Title Pulpal health status of primary teeth capped indirectly with dentin bonding agents vs. CaOH
Clinical Question In young patients requiring indirect pulp capping, do dentin bonding agents have a more beneficial impact on pulpal health than calcium hydroxide?
Clinical Bottom Line In caries restorations that do not involve direct exposure of pulp, capping with various dentin bonding agents vs calcium hydroxide displayed equal clinical and radiographic success over a 24 month period. (See Comments on the CAT below)

Key results240 primary molar teeth exhibiting different depths of carious lesions were restored in 97 children using 3 different dentin bonding agents. A calcium hydroxide control group was also assigned to compare results with. For the length of a 24 month period the teeth were analyzed clinically and radiographically. The results showed that over this 2 year period all groups showed no significant radiographic or clinical symptoms and exhibited a 100% treatment success rate.
