Title Comparison Studies Between a CAD/CAM Complete Denture And a Conventional Complete Denture
Clinical Question In a healthy adult in need of a complete denture, will a CAD/CAM complete denture be more beneficial and accurate compared to a conventional complete denture?
Clinical Bottom Line Even though present studies indicate that it is possible to fabricate a CAD/CAM complete denture, as of February 2013, there is no study comparing a CAD/CAM complete denture to a conventional complete denture.

The Evidence
There are no comparison studies between a CAD/CAM and a conventional complete denture.
Applicability This is applicable to general dentists or prosthodontics considering the fabrication of complete dentures originally using somewhat complicated conventional methods. As mentioned above, there has been no study comparing a CAD/CAM complete denture to a conventional complete denture.
